When a tooth has a cavity, is broken or the current filling is leaking (meaning there is bacterial contamination and decay underneath) often a new filling is required.

Dental filling materials without BPA (Bisphenol A)

At Dentistry on Sheppard, we use white filling materials (no black, mercury laden fillings) without BPA (bisphenol a), a toxin. We remove mercury fillings very carefully in an operatory with the patient breathing oxygen,to minimize their mercury exposure, and with a special air filter that filters mercury out of the air.
